The rain caused the Lahore Qalandars vs. Peshawar

RAWALPINDI: Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium washed out on Saturday due to the city’s unceasing rain.

The toss was initially postponed as coverings were put on the ground because to the persistent downpours.

The umpires ultimately determined that no play could be allowed when the rain briefly stopped and the groundsmen attempted to dry the field.

In the meantime, the weather can cause havoc for Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United’s scheduled second game of the day at the same location.

In the current PSL 9, Lahore Qalandars earned their first point when their match was called off, along with Peshawar Zalmi.

Notably, after dropping six straight games, the PSL’s defending champion Lahore Qalandars are the bottom of the standings.

Peshawar Zalmi, meanwhile, have seven points and are in third place.
