In PSL, the diamond category is the second most costly. The pay for players in this division is USD 85,000 (PKR20,400,000). The PSL Mini Draft gives each team the opportunity to select up to three players in the diamond category; however, the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators were granted an additional pick.
The Pakistan Super League’s second-most costly category has twenty players selected for it. This category’s pay ranges from US$60,000 to US$85,000.

3. Gold Category
The PSL 2023 draft’s third tier is gold. Lahore Qalandars received an additional player in the replacement round, although each franchise is only allowed to select three players from this group. In this category, the prize money for each player is $50,000 USD (PKR 12,000,000).

4. Supplementary Category
Each franchisee may choose two players in the supplemental draft, with a foreign player from the Diamond, Gold, Silver, or Emerging categories being the most that can be chosen. This category has a salary range of $50000.

5. Silver Category
In the Pakistan Super League, silver is the second-cheapest tier. Every player in this division is awarded $25,000 USD (equivalent to PKR 6,000,000). All of the remaining players that are above average fall into this category. Thirteen foreign players and the remaining players are locals, for a total of forty players selected for this category.

6. Emerging Category
In the 2023 PSL for emerging players, it is the final and least expensive division. In this division, the prize money is USD 7,500 (PKR 18 lac) for each player. This category was established to give Pakistani artists more opportunities and to display their ability on global stages.
As per the PSL 2024 draft regulations, every franchise is required to choose two players from this group. This category has sixteen players picked.

PSL Expensive Player
With a salary of $170,000, Babar Azam surpassed Shadab Khan, Rashid Khan, Tom Banton, Chris Lynn, Hassan Ali, David Miller, and Rilee Rossouw as the highest-paid player in the PSL 2023. These players are all classified as Platinum.
Three players from the platinum category may be selected by each franchise. This category has a salary range of $130,000 to $170,000 (PKR 31,200,000–40,800,000). Rilee Rossouw will receive $150,000 and David Miller will make $130,000.
1. Babar Azam
With a solid showing as a right-handed hitter, Babar Azam made a name for himself in Pakistan’s batting lineup for the long run. He is the PSL’s most expensive player. He fits into the Platinum group. $170,000 will be given to Babar Azam, or (40,800,000) in Pakistani rupees.
2. Shadab Khan
An extraordinary ball turner, Shadab Khan is a teenage legspinner who made waves in the cricket world during the 2016–17 Premier League season. He fits into the Platinum group. and will be compensated with $170,000, or (40,800,000) in Pakistani rupees.
3. Rashid Khan
This time around, the Afghanistan national team’s finest player and captain, Rashid Khan, will be competing in the Pakistan Super League for the Lahore Qalandars. In terms of performance, he has excelled, and his ICC Ranking has significantly increased.
Rashid Khan, who will receive $170,000, is also in the silver category.
4. Hassan Ali
In Sialkot, Pakistan, on July 2, 1994, Hasan Ali was born. In October 2013, he made his Sialkot first-class debut. He played his first One-Day International match for Pakistan in August of 2016. He is in the Diamond division and will play for the Karachi Kings. He’ll get $170,000 as well.
5. Rilee Rossouw
South African cricket player Rilee Rossouw was born on October 9, 1989, and represented his country from 2014 to 2016. In July 2022, he made a comeback to international cricket. Russouw bowls off-spin with his right arm and bats left-handed. He is in the Platinum category and will play for the Quetta Gladiators; he will receive $150,000.
